Ligenfelter HUD in a 3rd Gen

I noticed that Vette's have a really cool HUD setup with the windshield, and I thought to myself:
Hey, that would be bad *** on my camaro.

so I found this:
http://www.lingenfelter.com/lingenfe...35&pf%5Fid=494

Anyone ever install one of these things (or any similar system) in their 3rd gen and care to comment for me?

Thanks much,

That would be sweet!!!
My dads Bonnieville has HUD and I love it, BUT he needs his windshield replaced now and hes looking at $400+ cause of the HUD needs a special window w/ a special finish...
That website said nothing about the windshield but I would think you would need a special replacment possibly???

Ooooh, that's an interesting thought there.. I'll definitely have to check the special windshield thing out... I dont THINK so though. The bonnevilles with it, if I recall, are a bit older, and work through reflection, so you need a coating on the windshield (I could be wrong). Since the ligenfelter setup seems to use LEDs, I think it will probably be sufficient on a regular windshield kinda setup, but I'll send them an email if noone here happens to know.

If the display is bright enough then you shouldn't need any coating on the windshield. If you did I'm sure they would mention it on the website.

speed / tach? I see pros and cons to that one *lol*

"I couldnt have been going that fast officer!"
"Oh yea, well your windshield says otherwise."
"D'oh!"
