Killing my tires!

hey, i was drivin in the city today and i was on the road that was rated the worst in my county. My problem is, when i was driving on the bumps my tires stick out on the side so it rubbed on the wheel well and scrached it really bad. My tires all chewed up on the side and chunks are missing. my back tires are 265/50/15 on some old school charger rims and they do stick out from the side. how do i fix the problem? could i put new shocks on or would i need more. Im going to need new tires soon and i want to fix the suspension prob first before the same thing happenes to new tires. thanks...

If the tires are sticking out, the problem isn't the suspension, it's the rims. You need to get some with deeper offset to center the tires in the wheelwells. 265's shouldn't rub at all.

yeah but i like the way the tires stick out on the sides. How do people do this without ruining the tires, i know ive seen more cars than mine with the tires sticking out. would really stiff shocks work?

I suppose you could fab up some sorta custom "bump stop". They are like a big rubber block that hits the axle to prevent the car from bottoming out.
Personally, I would just get some new rims and tires.

rubbing tires

The only way is to bring the tires in. Try a ford 9" narrowed and mini tubs.

the car is made for no more than 225/60/15's without havin this problem
