I currently have this keyless entry system in my 95 truck:

Do you think the same would work for a 91 Z? I dont have a clue how they work, but I would assume that if the car at least has electric door locks, it should work?

There is a 4th button on it as well. I wonder if it could be wired to control the hatch?

i have a pretty nice one installed on my berlinetta, its a remote keyless enrtry alarm with pager and remote starter. it pops my trunk as well, and if my windows are down when i arm the alarm it will roll them up (my favourite feature). if someone hits my car or opens the doors, it will page me, and shows me if the car started etc all from 1900ft away.


that ebay auction is just for a replacement remote, if your 91 has keyless entry installed you will probably have to get it programmed to work with your keyless entry system on your 91. if you donmt have a keyless entry installed in your 91 they can install one to fit your needs.

 

I actually dont have any type of alarm or keyless installed in the car right now. I wanted the factory look like my truck has, but yea that auction was only for the keys. I think I can just drive over to Scoggin Dickey and pick up the whole kit like I did for my truck and take it to a local car stereo place and have them put it in. Maybe they can find a way to use the 4th button on there to control the hatch. On my truck, I had the 4th button programmed to control an electric door lock I had installed with the bed cover I used to have.

 

Where do you live? There's a guy around here runs a Audio Sales thing from his house, and he gave me a killer deal.

Keyless Entry, Alarm, Trunk poper, and it does that lil window trick the guy was talking about earlier. It's kinda cool. You get out of your car, leave the windows down, and walk away and everybody's like, "You gonna roll your windows up" and I go "Oh yeah" push the button and they go up, it suprises them. It's kinda cool.

All of that for $160 INSTALLED!

That sounds interesting, but to tell you the truth I really like the stock GM look. I also have had serious bad luck with aftermarket alarms and try to stay away from those noisy things.
