just new heads or a whole new engine?
just new heads or a whole new engine?
actually my setup is a 305 TPI with the dual cat, borla catback and a vortech s/c
After reading many posts about gaining hp I'm still not sure if i should take some new heads for the 305 or buy a 350 engine.
the actual engine has 65kmiles on it and the last ~5kmiles were with a Vortech s/c.
it is leaking oil since the first mile with the s/c on it and i think it will need a rebuild after tearing the s/c down.
I'm looking to be in the 300-320hp (flywheel) range.
what would you do and what parts would you buy?
Thanks alot
Pat

if your only looking for 300hp flywheel stock 305 with that s/c on it and bolt on's would dam near be that or just build up a mild 350 and sell that s/c to pay for the 350 and still have a lil left over
lol theres plenty or 350 combos to make 350 hp for around 2k (my motor should have around 360hp flywheel and it cost me 2300) and i know you could probably sell that s/c kit for 1800-2000 so or if you have some moeny build up a 350 then put the sc on it for even more pep
