Let me answer your questions to the best of my understanding of them and knowledge. A 305-350 swap isnt too hard to do it does bolt right in but i think you need a few little things but nothing too expensive. IMO unless you get a 350 for cheap its a waste of time. Id just buy a 383 short block and start modding from there if your gonna go for power. What else umm yeah the wheels/rear end thing in a lot of places (like in ontario) its against the law to have your wheels sticking out of the fenders (yay for custom fender flares) and you have to be careful if your going with a 3rd gen rear end because the 90+ had 10 bolts that are super weak and the 89 down had 9 bolts where parts are expensive for. IMO again its cost prohibitive to purchase these unless it can be done for cheap id rather wait save up and buy something good like a ford 9 or a moser 12 and not have to worry about it ever again.

keep the questions about the car coming were always happy to help.

NOTE: yeah J's comment put me flat on my back.....definitly get some sfcs!!!! btw J what sfc's are you using?

Not all pre 90's have Borg Warner 9 bolts. Yes you can use a 350 with the 305 TBI, but it helps if you swap to 350 or 454 injectors, and a custom PROM (or one from a 350 Caprice TBI), it all depends on how radical you get.

Yes you can use the 305 TBI on a 350, just swap over all the sensors and switches and the intake manifold.

Yes, any 305 head will work, if you use a 305 Vortec head, you will need a Vortec specific intake though. Also pre '87 Heads don't have the canted center intake bolts but that is easy to remedy by drilling out the bolt holes.

Well yeah, but don't rule out earlier heads, it is a very simple modification, requiring a drill and a drill bit.

so the only mod would be to drill a hole in the center of the head? no taping threads or anything?

No drilling four holes in the intake. More like elongating actually.
