Post instrument panel light problem

Yesterday durring the evening when i turned my lights on i noticed what i though to be a bulb out in my instrument cluster....the last pod(86 TA) with the temp and oil pressure. So to day i tore out 2 million screws and i replaced the bulbs...but they still don't work....i think i found the problem on the back of the cluster in the circuit paper stuff. There are a couple places that arn't connected and look burnt. CAN I FIX THE CIRCUIT OR DO I NEED A NEW ONE?

damn bro, your bird is turning out to be an electrical nightmare isn't it?!?!? I know on my circuit panel, there were a number of empty slots. Depending on what you had, not all slots were filled. Some had different purposes, ie warning lights that might not have been needed in your ride. Like mine has a provison for "down shift" or something and I have an automatic, so there is no light there. I hope that helps. Try a fuse maybe? Or a loose connection somewhere!

Yeah i see a bunch of those empty slots too....I found the shift light( i also have an auto)

But the problem I think is in the circuit it self( wish i could draw a pic to show everyone) it is like the circuit burnt in two in a few places.....How much would a new cluster cost me? used of course. And would a different cluster work in my car.

I've noticed clusters with different tach's Mine only goes to 6 I would like one that goes to 8 if i have to buy a new one....

I now have 2 bulbs out and one is the speedo. How long did it take you to swap the blubs and what all do you need to take apart to do it?

It's really simple..shouldn't take long at all. Take off the bottom panel (under steering wheel). There are 3 torx screws all the way on the bottom and 2 hidden by those circle things in the middle (just pop them out w/ a screw driver). After you take that panel off, you can see the 2 screws to get the top bezel off (have to disconnect the cigarrete lighter and take out the light ****). Remove the screws for the cluster, unhook the two connectoins from the back, and it comes right out.

Mine is a TA not a camaro, so it is different, but mine was a pain in the ***. I have a whole bucket of screws. I first had to take off the dash, and then i had to remove the small plastic that covers up the computer on the passenger side, then i removed the small pieces that hold the fog light swithces, rear defrog, hatch release and so on. then with six screws all of the guages came right out and the bulbs were in the back.......easy.....ha
