Injectors 22lb or 24lb????

With a ZZ4 or Hotcam, Vortec heads and manifold, headers and 700R4 what injectors and fuel pressure should I use?

I noticed you can use 24 lb Ford injectors. Is there any difference between Cobra and SVT?

I have heard 50 lbs of pressure is too severe. True or not?

I know a few people running the ZZ4 with 22 lbs injectors. The only thing is that you will need to increase the fuel pressure for it to run correctly. Sorry, not sure on the exact pressure. Also, you could increase from 22 to 24 but you will need to reprogrma the PROM with the 24 in it. If not you will see issues.

Not sure if there is a difference in the injectors between SVO and Cobra, probably not.

Yes, 50lbs is WAY to much for your combo. Well, at least for now.

Hope that helps.

Just get your EPROM reprogrammed and let the programmer tell you what pressure to run. Ford Racing makes the 24 pph injectors which is what you want. GM makes 22 pph ones and you will have to pay royaly for it.

If you really need 24#, just hit some LT1 guys who have upgraded to bigger injectors. Pretty cheap for those.

Unless they are virtually free, I wouldn't use used injectors. You never know if they are good flowing or a few are crudded up unless you have some sort of testing machine. By the time you pay for the machine and to clean it if necessary, you might as well have bought new ones for the cost and trouble.
