Injector Connector ?

This is probably a stupid question, but does it matter what connector goes to which injector on a 91' TPI? I'm trying to trouble shoot a misfire problem and when I removed my intake, stupid me didn't mark the injector wires....

Thanks!

No it does not matter on your TPI engine.

Re: Injector Connector ?

Just as long as they are on the correct side it doesn't matter, but that shouldn't be hard to figure out. If you suspect a misfire due to an injector not firing, you can test the resistance of each injector. I believe they should be around 17-18 ohms. Basically, if any are significantly off, there is a problem and you should probably get new injectors.

Re: Injector Connector ?

Thank you for your replies....I know I have the connectors on the correct side so I will check the resistance on the injectors this afternoon....Thanks again!

Re: Injector Connector ?

UPDATE: I checked the the resistance of all the injectors and they all checked around the same 18-19ohms. I found the plugs were all gapped to .035, so I regapped the plugs to .045. Also I found that my fuel pressure was a wopping 70psi!!! Ouch! So I turned that down to 50psi @ idle and 45psi @ 2000rpm. Problem solved! No more misfire! Thanks again for everyones help!
