I've had my 92 RS 305 for almost 2 years now and i have NO IDEA how much horsepower they came with stock? It can't be more than 185hp? Is there a website that shows you the engine specs and all those goodies? I'm so curious to know the difference between all the 3rd generation engines.

I'm not sure if this is the right section in the forums to post, but this is the only one that made sense to me. *shrug*

 

A 1992 RS 305 TBI will have around 170-175HP.

 

170hp @4000rpm
255ft-lbs @2400rpm

I miss my '91 RS; it was black w/a 305/5spd, and t-tops. Probably the best handling car I've ever driven; I wish I still had it.

and yes i know what you mean, my car has t-tops too.... its so fun to drive! I was thinking of putting an LS1 in it when she hits about 120k miles, since i already put an LT1 in my 88 Monte Carlo SS it will be a lot easier this time around

 

I love my 90 RS too! It is a 305, auto. Very fun to drive! These cars handle great!

 

The 92 RS is rated at 170HP.
