Ignition module need help

I have an 89 gta trans am 350 tpi. A couple weeks ago I went out to start my car and had no spark.I had the local auto parts store test my accel module and it was bad.I replaced it with a stock one.Now I go out again and have no spark??What would be causing my car to burn ignition modules out??I do have something draining power from my battery.I disconnected my negative battery cable and hooked a test light to the cable and back to the battery completing the circuit.if you have something draining power the light should come on ,and it did.when you pull a fuse and the light goes out it should tell you what fuse the short is on.I pulled each fuse,at one point the light dimmed but didn't go out.so it would have to be something not controlled by a fuse ,right??Could my ignition have the short ,sending power to my module when the car is turned off ,making it burn ignition modules out quick?I used to disconnect the battery cable every night when I wasn't driving the car.since pulling it out of storage I haven't done that.
Any sugestions or help would be highly apreciated

Thanks
Roger

If you pulled all the fuses and you are still having a drain, the next thing that I would check is the fusable links that connect to the starter. Pull the wires off of the starter one and a time and see if the light goes out. This is what I was dealing with for almost 6 months and 2 optima batteries later.

Hope that helps.

It's possible the replacement was defective.

Since the module outputs to the coil, a bad coil could fry it. They can test coils too at parts stores.

I would look at your pick-up coil...make sure all the leads are good..(crispy wires)..and the weights are in tact..
