idle problems.
i have a 87 tpi iroc-z. with a new beefed up motor. i got it to run. but the sicker wont idle. i have my TPS set right. and i have a new IAC.i have no vacumm leaks,.. but i had the stock TB on b4. and i put a edelbrock 58mm on it. im wondering if maybe i have to adjust the screw on the side where the linkage is? anyone have anymore ideas on what it could be? thanks,

How custom is your EPROM? If thats not calibrated correctly your motor WILL NOT idle correctly. Mine doesn't idle correctly yet but I haven't touched the EPROM calibrations.

when i got it burned from fastchip. i gave them a list of everything i have. so that chip is burnt to every aspect of my car..
i even told them i want it to idle at 850.
but ill be working on it 2morrow (fri) and see if anything comes out of it. later

THe only change between it running good and running bad is the change in throttle body? Put the stock one back on and confirm this again. Then go over the Edelbrock part and check for anything that looks wrong.
A simple change from a stock TB to a 58 will not cause the idle to go bonkers and won't require a chip reporgram, expecially on a MAF-equipped car. Done this before and never changed the chip and it ran great.
Yes, you have to adjust the idle speed screw on the new TB, but even if you don't it should idle acceptably. Is the IAC plug plugged in correctly and completely? If not it'll usually fire up and immediately idle down to nothing and shut off.
