Re: Hydrolic rollers?

I can second that one, after searching for a cam. Yes they did come with them.

Do you have to replace with a cam change?

What the rockers??? It is suggested that you do, unless they are clean & rebuilt. The shop that is doing all my work suggested that we buy new ones since ours were 100% stock & were nasty looking.

Re: Hydrolic rollers?

if your changing the cam and the lifters are original, then YES,install new ones w/ the new cam. NEVER use old lifters w/ a new cam.

you should also put on new valve springs w/ a new cam.

Re: Hydrolic rollers?

I have to argue that one. Roller lifters don't develop a wear pattern with the cam like flat tappet lifters do. It is perfectly safe to re-use your factory roller lifters with a new roller cam. It's generally a good idea to change springs, as the stockers aren't made to handle much lift and will float fairly easily.

With the older flat-tappet lifters, you DO have to replace them when you change the cam.

Re: Hydrolic rollers?

double agree...roller cams are ground flat,so wear doesnt matter like a hydralic cam.if the roller surface and bearings ok you can reuse them, just clean them up real good, heck take them apart and reclean them, folk rebuild them all the time
