If you aren't worried about the light on the dash, just run any switched power source to the power lead on your choke.

Not sure how to wire it so that the light in the dash functions properly, so if anyone else knows, please share.

Sorry....by switched power source, I meant ignition switched power (power only when the key is in the start or run position). The choke will close it self once the engine no longer needs it.

Re: how to wire a choke in a previously EFI car?

is the choke on only to start the car or untill its warm? cuz to keep my car running i gotta hold it around 2k rpm untill it warms up (like 2 minutes)

the ignition may be a problem, cuz i originaly had my E fan on the ignition but had to take it off because it was causing weird problems, like i would kill the car but the engine would still run for like 10 more seconds, and it would blow fuses left and right
