How much torque does it take?
How much torque does it take to rip the torque converter bolts through the flex plate?
I have herd of it hapening more than once with people buying preformance crate small blocks from mopar and chevy then puting them in there cars.

Make sure they're toqued tightly and evenly and you shouldn't ever have that kind of problem....unless of course your tranny seizes up while the engine is turnin 8k...in which case you have bigger problems anyway.
