How much HP does a '88 350 TPI IROC have?
As you can see from my other thread, I'm picking up this car tomorrow. What was the stock HP rating of these cars? What rear end options were available? Where is the option code list located in the car? What performance numbers do these cars run? I remember my brother running this car a few years ago aand it ran a 14.7X at 94 MPH. Is this good for this car or can it run better? Thanks for looking!

Only 210? I thought it was more then that. I think the L98 equipped Vettes from '88 had 245 hp. I would've thought they would've been closer in hp rating. Jeez, looks like I have a good amount of work to do to make this car fast.

The L98 was obtained in 88' by ordering B2L. GM listed the car at 230 hp.
The Vette got better flowing heads and exhaust.
The corvette of 1988 L98 was rated at 240 hp for convertable, and 245 hp for other models.
the 5 hp difference was due to the less restrictive exhaust being classified as too loud for convertables.

The RPO list should be in the glove box between the seats.
Rear ends will be the 9-bolt, and either the 2.77 ratio or the 3.27 ratio depending on if you have the G92 performance option. Gears and posi's are expensive, about $300 for the gears and $400 for the posi's. 230 HP/330 TQ are the correct numbers for an 88 TPI 350.
Congrats on your purchase!
