My compressor went out and I need to change it SOON. It has already been converted to 134a by a shop a few years ago. Does anyone know how many lbs. to put in it? I have a 1985 Camaro 305H LG4 auto trans. Thanks

Capacity is 90% of whatever the R12 charge was. Look on your evaporator case and there is a label that indicates what the R12 charge was. Take 90% of that amount and that is how much you put in.

Since the compressor locked up I need to flush the lines. How much refrig. oil do I need to put in also? Thanks

 

You might have to get that oil spec from a dealer.

 

You need to add 3 ounces per pound of 134.
