HOw do i convert my 5.0 tpi to a 5.7 litre tpi????

 

Remove engine, drop in 350.

You are not working with much of an engine since the car is an old one so why bother? Get a freshly worked on long block and stick on your manifold.

 

Stroke is the same. Other than that everything needs to be changed. You can't bore a 305 block out to 4.0" to make a 350 any more than trying to bore a 350 block out to try and make a 400. The 305's bore size is just too small. You can drop a stroker crank into it and make a 334.

If you want a 5.7, you need to find a 350 engine.

 

Stroke is the same, but the crankshafts are actually different. They have different counterweights because of the increased weight of a 350 pistons.

In order to make a 305 a 334, it would cost as much(most times even more) than putting a 350 in, and even if you went with a 334 you still wouldn't have as much performance as a 350 with the same amount of money put into it.
