Hi, I'm looking at selling the Audi because it's just not cutting it and getting a 1991 Z28 I found. It's a 5 speed, cali car with a fresh repaint and 110,000 miles. (He wants $4,400 for it, which I know is high but whatever). Anyways how does one know if it's the 205 HP, or 230 HP 305? I have the VIN if you can tell by that, thanks guys.

 

i'm 99.9% sure you can NOT tell by the vin alone, you will need the RPO codes that are located inside the center console thing. and really if the car is in good shape 4400 isn't that bad a price especially with a fresh coat of paint(assuming it's good). ask him for the codes and if it has a G92 or 1LE, it's one or the other or maybe both, code its the 230 hp with a 3.42 posi rear. if you post the codes i can run them all for you and tell you exactly what it is supposed to have. but that's up to you


oh one last thing, if you get the codes and there is a B4C and you dont buy this car, i might have to shoot you. roughly 592 B4C's where made.... just a lil FYI

 

If the paint on that car is good, thats a decent price.

If the z28 your looking at has t-tops, can you tell me the guys phone number. Just out of curiosoty, I wouldn't buy it or anything

LOL it's on autotrader it's not a secret. It doesn't have T-tops, nor any power options ,and burns a little oil it appears.

The Audi, I believe (I'm not an Audi guy so I go by what my friends tell me ) has the sport package because it has a lower stance than normal A4's. It's a 5 speed, 1.8T AWD with a 2 year warrenty I purchased. It's also listed on Autotrader on basic listings.
