How can I make my Camaro faster?
cheap or free mods:
plugs, wires, dist. cap/rotor
bump the timing a few degrees and run good gas
remove the screen from the maf, you can also take some of the cooling fins off the inside
gut the air boxs below the filters, or fab up a ram-air system from behind the fog lights
remove the air pump and gut the cat
buy a nice catback, and install a $30 cutout while you are at it
air-foil
160 degree thermostat (or 170 if you are worried about winter)
throttlebody bypass
remove the upper plenum and grind off the "bumps" behind the front openings, and port out the passages going into the runners
headers
find an LS1 aluminum drive shaft (less vibration and frees up a few hp)
underdrive pullies (good gains since the waterpump is belt driven)
lower control arms, relocation brackets and polyurathan torque arm mount for better lauches
there are more...been a while since i've had my 87 iroc

I hope you're not set on that hood. For the money you'd put out for that hood you could put it towards actually making it go faster, rather than look faster, which I believe was the point of this post
A nice set of headers, which are cheaper than the hood, would add a significant HP increase to your car with the Flowmaster you're already planning on. Sounds good too
Keep the rest that you saved for the hood for the nickel and dime stuff listed one post above.
IMO - that hood looks horrible. Around here nearly every trailer park has a Thirdgen with that hood on it. But do whatever you wish, it is your car.
