Question Home made SFC´s ???

Does anybody tried or made their own subframe connectors?

I know is easier to buy them but over here there are not for sale and sellers at eBay don´t ship international...

does anybody have pic´s or draws of their SCF in place? I need to know where to weld and where they start/end..

thanks man, but I think the problem is that the shipping fee goes way to high. this things are about 6 feet long of steel. but any way, I'll keep in mind for further needs.

anyone knows where this are supposed to be weld at the ends

It's real simple......the driver side SFC is a straight shot down the side...weld into rear/front subs....Spohn has adds a perpendicular tie into the sub...

The passenger side has a dip, in that website the guy stacked it, with very little effort you could make the curve for a cleaner job assuming you can weld. Again, other then the curve of the floorpan and clearing your exhaust (which shouldn't be a problem) it's a straight shot down both sides, you tie into the rear subframe and weld straight in, the front you can do a perp tie....it's real simple...it became alot more clear once I had myc ar jacked up front and rear and took a real good look....the fact that companies charge 150$+ for them amazes me....I might pay 100$ just for the fact they are premade, but in all honesty it's like 25-35$ in material....if you can weld your in good shape, do it yourself. Just use some cardboard or something else to make a cutout of the curves and dimensions.
