holley stealth ram?

has anyone run the holley stealth ram intake on their cars. not the fuel kit just the intake. i ordered it and went to put it on and the stock fuel rails are not going to work. but in the add it sad it was a direct swap. can any give me any info on how to make my own or maybe a part number that holley didnt give me. any info would be helpful. thanks

yeah summit was nice enough to say direct swap. even though they do not mention that you don't use anything off your old intake except TB and injectors. www.stealthram.com

error404 thanks for the link to the website. for those with or are putting the HSR on their car, send me links to your site, pics of car and engine and spec just like on the HSRCARS section and i'll add it.

I just finished installing a HSR on my son's 87 IROC last week. I ordered mine from Thunder Racing 'cause it was cheaper then Summitt. I did order the fuel rail with adj pressure regulator also because Thunder Racing does mention your stock fuel rail will not work. Anyway, with the HSR and fuel rail/press regulator and if you order online you get a $20 discount, the whole thing shipped to my door was $496.00.. You can definetely feel a difference once it hits second gear. We hope to make it out to the track this weekend to play with the timing and fuel pressures and see what type of gains the HSR has made. By the way, installation was extremely easy.

I also was going to run the GM hot cam kit and get some work to the heads/ the mods that i have now and a few more that i need to buy. Do you think that would get me in the low 13's/high12's

I'd get better heads, cam and a custom EPROM if you want to get into the low 13s or better.

well the thing is. I want to get a cam that is noticable but does not sound like a drag car. I want it to be a good looking/sounding car. NOW what heads should i get i don't want to spend over a $1000,somthing the flows good with the setup. And what cam do you think i should i get. What would be a ball park price on geting in high12's/ LOW 13's

Heads

Shane, I have a set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads that went 8.49 in the 1/8 in a 91 L98 GTA with a small 216/220 480 cam. They only have about 5k miles on them. I would sell them for $650 plus shipping if you are interested. The 8.49 is about 13.20 in the 1/4. Bill

If you still have them in about 2 months or so, I might take you up if Shane doesn't.

I'm doing Heads and Cam along with the HSR here soon. thought it was going to be very soon, but the money went away
