Hesitation from Reverse To Drive

when i bought the car, the lady told me the tranny had just been rebuilt about like 4 months prior, but every time i put it in reverse, it takes about 2 seconds for it to actually kick in. like Kuruption562 said, it'll roll just a little and then kick in. is a tranny flush in order?
