help me clean her up

help me *****s

im registered for english towns slp f body show this october. my iroc is in pretty good condition. its 17 years old and looks sharp. my motor has 17 years of grime on it think sludge plus dirt that normally acummulates. my question is what should i use to get this engine bay looking like it was 1987 in miami beach and i just bought this car. Also my white paint has some dark smudges in it that wont wash off is thier a compound i can use to whiten up that paint and get some of the dingy **** off of it. also my leather is kinda got black on it its ta from a 97 firehawk i want to make it soft smooth and look like new. some people told me simple green, purple power, orange clean, oxy clean, yamaha cycle wash, and some steam spray degreaser. i need your opions to make this car look like it was 87 again my paint job is ok just the paint has impurites on it.

for the smudges that won't come off, you might want to try a polishing compound, something along the lines of Liquid Glass. For the engine bay, go and get it steam cleaned - after that, you can go over it and polish up anything that needs polishing.

Cleanup

Heya, full strength simple green works pretty well throughout the engine compartment as well. Just spray it on and let it sit a while, then rinse. It takes out 90% of the grease and grime for about $5 a gallon. The other 10% is good old manual labor. Hope that will be of help, Andy
