HELP!car died

I got home from work on Thursday parked the car,went out about an hour later,and would not start,cranks good and is getting fuel,but no spark,only thing I have found so far is I,m not getting any rpm signal have not checked any further yet,its an 85 T/A with the 305,5 speed any suggestions on where too look when I get back to it?

how have u figured ur not getting spark? if it is the case though i would start by changing the ignition coil pak and the then the ignition module if the coil isn't the problem. u might wanna take off ur dist cap and scratch the burns of the points and off the rotor it might be on really thick.

If your car has HEI than the coil is built into the distributor cap, I would start with that and the rotor, If you have a multi meter you can check the ignition coil by using the ohms (resistance) selection. get a chilton guide (Not hayne's they suck) And it will tell you exactly how to check the coil and your ohm variance. Also make sure that the cap is on tight and not cracked.
