Hey, I have a 1992 Camaro RS 3.1L V6..... I bought it about 4 months ago for REALLY cheap, all it needed was body work... It ran pretty good when I first got it, and kept running good for the first 2 months... It was in my driveway on afternoon running and I heard it starting to run rough, choke her, cough there, and then it stalled... Since then, I havent been abloe to start it... Battery is good... When I turn it over, i can smell gas, there is spark too. Im really confused on whats wrong with it, Im trying to sell it!!!

You must verify that you hear the fuel pump working, it should run 2 to 3 seconds after the key is placed in the run position.
If it runs, replace the fuel filter.
Verify good white to bluish spark, orange is considered "no spark".
If you have no distributor, check the crank sensor and cam sensor.(Usually causes a no spark or fuel condition.
If good, check that the timing chain hasn't jumped a tooth: set at Top Dead Center, pull the valve-cover with N0#1 cylinder and see if both valves are completely closed.

 

ok, i am for sure that the fuel pump works, i hear it when key is turned..., i was told it might be te crank sensor in the past... I should give it a shot, where is it located, the drivers side-between the engine block and the exhaust header?
