www.thirdgen.org has an entire writeup of it in their tech section. It'll answer all your questions. Good luck.

ok, basicly all i have to do is go back to the junkyard and rip the fuel pickup out of the fuel tank from the iroc (the engine has a mechanical fuel pump) and pop that in my tank, and take out the fuel injection harness.....thats what i understand it to be, will that mess up the computer in any way at all? it seems to me it would confuse it and have alotta incomplete circuts (sp) or some junk like that............?

Your service engine light'll remain on indefinately. No other functions are damaged, save for possibly torque converter lockup (that was discussed in another thread and I believe it was left at a bunch of conflicting opinions and basically "I don't know" was the final outcome of the board)...

Good luck.
