Heads cc chamber size???????

What is deal with chamber size? So many different ones to choose from. My Scoggin Dickey crate Vortec TPI motor has 64cc vs. the 58cc in the ZZ4 motor. So what does that mean?

Re: Heads cc chamber size???????

"Cubic Centimeters" With the same piston, say a flat top, the smaller the combustion camber size, the higher the static compression will be.
For example with the 64cc cambers you might get 9.5 to 1 compression and with the 58cc you might get 10 or 10.5 to 1.
The cc is mesured by using one of these. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

So the 58cc would perform better than his 64cc? The smaller cc the more HP and higher compression?

theoretically YES.

but you also have to take into account whether the higher compression will cause detonation or not.
