headers vs. starter
I've having a problem with my starter being in the way of the headers i'm trying to install on my trans am, and i was wondering if anyone has had the same prob. and what ya'll did about it.

I have the hooker long tubes, and I had to unbolt the starter to put the headers in. Also, with long tubes you almost always need a ministarter. I was told that I would need a ministarter, but I was able to fit the stock one. I have an LT1 starter now that I plan on putting in though because the end of my starter is touching one of the primaries.

Yep, I went through "heat soak" after installing my TES Edelbrock headers. After my stock starter would not crank until it cooled down I went with a mini Hi-torque unit. Problem solved and I got to admit that it sounds really good turning over.
