^If your going to be doing a hi-performance build up in the future deffinently go with 3"

Since he said 2.5" pipes and a set of flowmasters, I'm assuming he means dual exhaust. 2.5" dual flows a little better than 3.5" single so it would be fine. If me means single exhaust, then 3" or better is definately the way to go.

^Ahh gotcha; ya 2.5" would be absolutely fine on a true-dual exahust

yes, a shop can bend some new pipes for you, but make sure they use a mendrel bender, otherwise you might as well stick with stock pipes, lol. you only need 2.5", unless you have a heavily modded engine that really needs to breath. 2.5" is more cost effective.
