Which headers to get for an LT1 going into my thirdgen?
I got a 91 Camaro im dropping an LT1 into and while installing it I wanna throw some headers on there. Problem is im on a budget and need to keep it below $200.
I heard the headman headers bolt up without clearance issues and found a pair for $140 or so I believe.
How good are these headers and do I have any alternatives for a price range of $200?
Also, is it safe to use them without coating them? I won't be punching it, its gonna be a daily driver, thanks.

I think you might have some issues with the LT1s raised exhaust port matching up with 3rd gen headers. I would suggest getting some coated headers, just to keep the heat down and prevent rust. I really think the coating is worth the money and would suggest you just use manifolds until you can afford to put some descent headers on it.

I am running Hedman Longtubes in my setup and my friend went with a pair of Edelbrock Shorties.
Hedmans were $120 but needs custom exhaust ran.
The Edelbrocks were $350 and are a direct bolt in for a stock routed catback.

The exhaust ports should be in the same location on the LT1 as they are on a standard 350. You should be able to use just about any 3rd gen header. Just make sure the headers will work with the angled plugs.
