Yea i just put my engine in not to long ago and i am trailering the car to the tranny shop tomarrow so i am putting the power steering pump and ac back on. Well when i bought the hooker headers they cam with a lil booklet telling me what i needed to cut off my ac bracket in order for them to fit. Well i lost that booklet. Dose anyone know what to cut off?

 

Haven't done an 86 in a long time so bear with me and perform a "sanity test" on what I say before you start cutting...

Usually it's one of the "arms" of the A/C compressor bracket that goes down to the old exhaust manifold studs. I think the A/C bracket bolts to the 2 front exhaust manifold bolts/studs on the stock exhaust manfiold. Usually you cut off the "arm" that goes to the 2nd bolt/stud back and just use the front one to attach it (with a supplied spacer since the header flange is much thinner than the old manfiold).
