Head Gasket?
Head Gasket?
Was crackin.... Some foo in my city is sellin me a 1986 IROC-Z. It has a 305 TPI.... but theres one thing wrong with it, he said the head Gasket is broken. Im not too familiar with what that is but he took off the oil cap when he showed me the problem. Is that alot to fix? Cuz the body n **** is straight, Its T-TOP with flowmasters n ****. Black with the stock rims.
Holla.
Holla.
You need to remove the whole TPI setup (intake plenum, throttle body, distributor, intake manifold, runners, fuel rail), the accessory brackets (alternator, air pump, power steering pump, ac), remove the valve covers, remove the rocker arms, remove the pushrods, unbolt the cylinder heads, pull them off, remove the head gaskets, scrape the surfaces clean, put on new head gaskets, then put the heads back together, set the rocker arm valve lash, put the intake stuff back on, drop in the distributor, set the timing, start the car and voila. If you don't know anything about engines, I don't suggest attempting this without assistance from someone more knowledgable. It'll be kinda pricey to have someone else do it for ya, but call around.
Thanks homie...well i talked to the guy last night and he said he took the car to the shop to get that fixed, its still in there today so hopefully Ill get it soon and im lookin foward on conversatin here bout my camaro and yalls.
