hatch motor electrical draw

any one eve hear of the hatch motor causing an electrical draw , after its finished pulling the hatch down, every time the hatch is down asll the way and i disconnect my negative terminal and reconnect it sparks. once i unlatch the hatch the motor dosent come up, but there is no more spark, draw on the battery, sound right these motors know for that.

I had that problem too, I just pulled the hatch motor fuse. I will eventually replace the motor but for not it is not a big deal. If I get into the hatch and then want it to shut/lock good w/o the motor's help, I just drop the hatch and then double check it and 99% of the time it locks. I found a cheaper motor replacement for it, it is aftermarket but it should fit fine....http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=1391

I'm at work right now and my car is at home so I can't help you too much right now with it. Maybe you can run into Autozone and check out one of their books and see which one it is, either that or there might be a pic on thirdgen.org somewhere.

If you still need help later today, I can go out to my car and look and tell you which fuse it is.
