hard starting the Z???

i went to start my Z today and it did not want to turn over? I had to feather the throttle to get it going. My car normally is a turn key bam engine rumbles nice. Now, I have to feather the throttle and it is running like it is missing or someting? I have no codes, but it is running rich, i can smell it?

My Z does this too, but I know why. My Quadra-Bog attacks me in the wee hrs. when I go to leave in the morning. I find if i give the gas peddle about 4 good to -the-floor pumps, it will start right up. I changed the fuel filter, replaced the air cleaner, gave it new plugs, wires, cap rotor, and set the timing. The carb needs rebuilt. As for your problem, I know ask this. When did you last tune up the car, or simply change the air filter?

Do a fuel pressure test, and if that checks out, do a fuel injector test on all injectors. Good luck.

I checked injectors and the ohms are in normal limits. I plan on doing a fuel psi check tomorrow. Hoping that the AFPR has gone bad....not hoping but hoping to find the problem

Ground a spark plug and see if it is a blue flame.

Sounds like a torn diaphragm. Looks like you need a new FPR.
