"Hard to reach screw" for heater core question.

"Hard to reach screw" for heater core question.

do i have to replace that hard to reach screw for the heater core? or could i just leave it off, cause it was a b**** to get off.

Are you talking about the upper one? Like most people, I left mine out. Check for air leaks around it afterwards though.

The screw for the heater core itself or the cover?

I am usually lucky if I get at least half the heater core cover screws back in.

Yeah, the upper one for the cover. i left mine off cause i wasnt about to go through that hassle again. it was hard enough finding the screw.

I put mine back in using a universal. Took me about 30 mintues lol, prolly took about that long to find it too.

Left it off. Never even took it off to remove the cover. Once it was the last one left, I torched a long screw driver and melted the plastic from the inside and pulled the cover off right over the screw Sealed the hole with silicone before install.
