Gutting Cat???

Taking the cat off is not too hard its just a few bolts depending on what year car u have. I know mine only has two because when I put my cat back exhaust on I saw it.

Unbolt the cats and bring them to an exhaust shop. Ask if they'll make a straight pipe the same length as the cat. Just make sure they do the flange angles the same as well.

buy 2 used cats and get a crowbar and smash out the insides. then it will look like you have cats icase anyone in a uniform checks.

how the hell do i unbolt the cats? i took a quick look at it and i didnt see any bolts

thats what im gonna have to do tomorrow... ill take it down to a shop i know and see what kind of price they give me... btw, since i have 2 cats, do i also have 2 o2 sensors? or just 1? and do you know where they're located?

You have 1 O2 sensor in the left exhaust. After the manifold where they converge, look below that and you will see a plug screwed into the exhaust pipe and that is the O2 sensor.

sorry i walked in on the end here. what would you gain by putting a stright pipe on 3 inches all the way back. plus my exhaust gives off a acidic smell that burns my eyes. whats this

its not a 3 inch peice all the way back, just to connect the exhaust where the cat is connected to. if you look in you cat its restricted with honeycomb platinum and swapping this chunk with a straight pipe is good for power bad for the environment. not that people care about power. i mean the environment.

You drive behind your tail pipe often or does it vent into the AC ducts?

i think he meant if he smells the exhaust it feels like burning. mine smells sweet because its burning 20 year old coolent through its 20 year old gaskets

That's fine. Dosn't affect you anyway. If you don't have it blowing in front of your face, it shouldn't matter.

no im just asking because i smell it does it mean my catrs clogged and no way. im fasbriacating a 3 inch from my 3inch flanges to the middle of my overaxel pipe because when i bought the flowmasster it had the wrong flange size so i took the old 2.5 pipe crushed it down a bit and shoved it into the 3inch so its a restriction im doing away w ith
