Gmmg

Can any one tell me more about the GMMG. I want a good sounding exhaust. I was told that the GMMG was one of the best sounds. I am not woried about the price. I just want a good /clean sounding exhaust for my Iroc that goes in shows.

Also i DON'T want a real loud exhaust. I want people to here it but want it to be a nice deep agressive tone for a nice long day of cruzing around. The car does have Mini Ram ,AFR 195's cam, the list goes on. Any information would great. Thanks Shane.

Re: Gmmg

GMMG is GREAT. THey are expensive, but they sound AMAZING. Well, I dunno about on 3rd gen cars, but on the 4th gen cars.. man oh man are they nice. Try out LS1sounds.com to see what they sound like on 4th gens; thing is, dont get overly excited about the sound they make as it will most deffinently sound different on your 3rd gen. GMMG's tend to be VERY loud, btw. They are not very deep, but VERY aggressive and literally SCARY sounding.

Re: Gmmg

i dont think gmmg is really loud, i mean its loud but not extremely , its gives a really nice clean , deep , agressive sound and will be quiet when u want it to and loud but not obnoxious when u want it to, maybe with LTs no catts and cam it can be alot louder but it think ull like it
for 700 its worth every penny ,

lets just say for each mod u do teh better it sounds

Re: Gmmg

Ya, listen to Gunny Shane He seems to know what he is talking about no matter WHAT we are talking about

But Shane.. on a 3rd gen?? I think it would sound much better because of the diff. engines. But I am YET to hear a GMMG that is quiet, lol.

Re: Gmmg

Well I have had my GMMG for over a year, and I bought it cause I heard it was the best. Well, it is.

On my stock manifolds is was deep all the way through the RPM's. Great tame deep demanding sound.

With the LT's and no cats, its lost the tameness, but remains deep until you open it full thottle. Then it gets very intimidating.

But for your purposes, cruising around part thottle, you'll enjoy full benefits. Its worth every cent.

Re: Gmmg

You, like everyone else, are assuming.

I never forgot anything about the thread starter's car. I never said it would sound the same as my LT1. I, however, will say it will sound similar. It will behave similar depending on how he has his exhaust configured.

Its very odd you say the GMMG isnt deep? Hell the ones I have heard are, considering I own one. It is deep without much resonance. Also with GMMG being VERY loud, the only time mine got VERY loud was after I added LT's and dropped the cats. But I guess very loud depends on how sensitive your hearing is.

The thread starter wants a deep agressive tone, GMMG will give him that regardless of small block he has. If he drops the cats and has headers it will evolve into something much meaner similar sounding to mine.

The sound of the 3rd Gens are pretty close to the LT1's. The LS1's though sound like little school girls compared to the old iron block 350's.

Oh course this is with the very little exhaust experience I have, God knows I only own the damn exhaust, and heard nearly every exhaust system made for 3rd and 4th Generation F-Body's

Kind of odd how the two people who reply that own a GMMG system conflict with your observations of it.

Re: Gmmg

i tell u, u will be satisfied with it no matter what year 350 u have, like bersaglieri said it will sound similar, not exactly teh same but close enough, if its gonna sound liek the lt1 does then i say it is ur best choice in exhaust.
older f-bod first and second have been running chamberd systems just like this(except in true duals) and they sound mean and badazz with a deep and aggressive tone,

GMMG is prolly gonna be ur best choice if u are looking for deep, agressive not to loud crisp tone , it will only get better with the addition of headers etc,

have fun , id just say stop questioning and buy it and ull be completely satisfied

I can agree with you, a 11 sec Trans Am, will be fuggin loud. Hell mine is fugging loud and its not that fast.

Re: Gmmg

Cam aside, it shouldn't sound all that different from a LT1. I have also heard that they tend to sound "better" with cats. Remove the cats and alot of exhaust systems tend to lose their flare. Just my .02 cents. If I end up keeping my 3rd gen, I wil definitely get one of these systems. I was diggin it the first time I ever heard one and I haven't changed my mind since.
