Question Gas tank dilema..................

I recently pulled out my gas tank to put in a new fuel pump, but as I was taking it out, I must of put a little to much muscle into it and I bent the filler neck pretty good. Any one have any ideas? What I really want is a tank with a neck that removes like on my buddy's mustang, but I dont know if I could set up this tank like that...Any info is appreciated.

I did this to my tank and it makes it soooo much easier to remove. even by myself. I bought a piece of rubber hose off another vehicle that already had a setup like that from my dealership. all you need is a piece of 2.5" diameter fuel compatible hose and two clamps and a hack saw. there is a small diameter pipe inside the neck that also needs to be cut through. when you get done cutting, make sure to clean it out real good cause you dont want those metal chips going into your new fuel pump. I cut mine where it is straight. between the bend and the crimps on the neck. I'll try to remember to get some pics of it tomorrow cause I left it at work (my t.v. cable is broke and it will be there in the mourning)(I work as a mech. at a pont. dealership)
alot of auto parts store's like NAPA sell that hose in bulk, so you may have to buy like 3 feet or so to get it. mine was from a new'ish Jimmy. same diameter neck and its steel.
I have a stock fuel tank for sale if interested. you should be able to bend your back though. email me if anyother questions or would like to buy my tank. its perfect. $45 plus shiping.
