Flexplate diameters with 700R4 trans....

I know my '92Z L98 originally came with a (12.75" diam) 153 tooth flexplate. Well when my 383 was finished my engine builder got me a (14" diam) 168 tooth one for my engine. I'm sticking with m 700R4 tran. with the new engine. The started I bought was a CVR unit that works with both 153 and 168 tooth wheels so that's not a concern.
The question I have is this....can the 14" diam. wheel work with the 700R4 trans? I'm not sure if it will fit alright in the bellhousing....I'm hoping it's not too large. And I don't wanna throw the engine/trans in the car only to find out it's not gonna work.....
Please help!!!

Thanks,
- Joel

No problem it fits fine. The trucks use the larger 168 tooth flywheel with the 700r4. The only thing you have to change is the dust cover the starter hole is moved out 1".

Excellent news!! Thank you!
Hmmm....I guess this'll give me reason to upgrade to one of those aluminum covers if I ever grenade the converter.
