fixed fan issue

i discovered a fan switch under my exuast manifold pas. side. i thought my radiator fan was controlled by the ECM. i guess i was wrong. i replaced engine temp sensor on top of intake manifold, fan control relay and it still didnt work properly. my step-father also a proud third gen camaro owner found the switch on his 305 that was removed from his car and on an engine stand. by the way the switch was disconnected, i hooked it back on and then my fan ran constantly with the key on. i guess when the switch fails it becomes a "constant ground". well its fixed now so i am happy. i also replaced my front sway bar links and next weekend im going to do the rear. going to stiffin this bad boy up a little. also want to purchase a strut tower brace. let me tell you these cars are all about "time and money". very dependable car but just looking to eventually make everything perfect. i need a dash pad, driver side mirror cable assembly, maybe a new carpet and redo the seats, paint job. it would also be nice to eventually get a reman engine and build it a little(different heads, cam, ect) runs good right now but it would be great to have a "fresh" drivetain and engine in the car. i like my 305 some people pick on my for it but it delives excellent gas mileage when driving it easy, decent accerlation, and dependabilty, im getting 23+ mpg easily. with gas at 2.95+/gal regular the 305 is comming into its own. who needs a 350 anyway. good engine but way too much gas.
P.S. my step-father owns a 1984 camaro z28 which he is putting a 305 TPI, with a 6 speed borg warner transmission in it. it is going to be "trick" i bet he will get 30 mpg it will be geared perfectly for performance AND fuel economy.
