fault code 43

I have probablems with my 305 tpi hasitating when cold and it finaly got bad enough to give me a 43 fault code (Electronic Spark Timing, low voltage). Is the ignintion module the most likely cause.
Thanks for any help,
91 305 tpi

What condition is your battery in? I had fault code 43 on a buddies '91 B4C, and I thought it acted a lot like a bad module, so I replaced it. Well that helped a little, but then we put a new battery in it and it made it a whole lot better. It still has some issues but that is because of the hack that owned it before him. I believe the battery had a dead cell (didn't have my Fluke with me to check), so I try testing the battery, or using a known good battery.

Code 42 is the ignition module, while code 43 is the knock sensor. Either one could be the problem with your car. Be sure to check the wiring to be sure its not shorted out on a header or something.
