crazeinc on www.nethirdgen.org is pretty quick, but I don't know the specs on his 305. I have run 13's with an LG4, it was some years ago, an '87Z28, and it wasn't entirely cheap to do, in say, comparison to get an L98 to that point, for instance. I will try again, but I'll bet it either will take me a lot of weight reduction, or a little go-juice to make it happen.
BTW: Baddest305: That is a very sweet ride! Good job!
I will try this route:
Home-ported LG4 heads
1.6rr, hardened pr, larger valves
.030-over block, Keith Black pistons
roller cam/lifters, doner TBI shortblock
Edelbrock Perf. RPM Intake & 600cfm Carb
AC/Smog delete
Accel HEI components, wires & AC plugs
Hedman Hedders, custom y-pipe Catco Cat & Hooker Aerochamber catback
Lakewood rear components
Welded spider gears, 3.73 ring & pinion
1LE Driveshaft, 16x8" ARE Wheels w/BFG Drags
Prepped 700-R4 w/B&M Holeshot 3000 converter
Most of the work is already done, minus the block prep and just installing this thing in the car, haven't made a decision on which cam just yet, or fuel pump, since I am still skeptical on the whole elec. pump configuration on my used-to-be mechanical setup.

I ran a 13.89 back in '87 with my 84 Z28 HO 5spd.
Mods were(if I remember correctly
)
K&N, 160 thermo, removed charcoal ring in air filter, timing 14 degrees, air pump belt removed, gutted cat, Hypertech Stage II chip, and 235/60/15 Euro TA's.
I think that was it.
P.S. Sorry to hear about the Spirit. I had a 92 Spirit R/T. Bone stock it ran 14.4 with a 2.6 short time. Never went back after that but raised the boost and it was an easy 13 second car.

thanx for the thoughts ws6 I managed to get that mopar back on the road. It was'nt cheap and hence it needs to go down the road.
As for calling a 305 a 305 instead of a 5.0, I like 5.0.
I like these engines. It doesn't take as much money as most would believe it takes to make these engines perform, unless you have a tbi.
In fact when I had mine, it took ported stock heads, doing all the free mods and intake clean-up and headers to get my #s. Almost forgot, 1.6:1 roller tip rockers. The car was an '89 I-Roc 5 liter m5 w/ 3.08 gears. I loved eating up lt1s and pisstangs mod for mod ( that's referring to the pisstangs).
I miss that car from time to time can never get enough of these schmucks out here that hated on me cause their car got beat by my 5 liter.
Now I have the T and I get tobeat up on a whole new batch of v8 guys including some v10s.
The amount of money I spent on that 5 liter was prolly under 1g.
