my friend is installing: intake runners, fuel pressure regulator, msd 6A ignition box, and a 52mm throttlebody. how many horses do you guys think he will achieve??? his current mods are headers, pulleys, flowmaster,k&N,and 3.42 gears, please help!?

 

He doesnt need the 52mm throttle body on a stock 305, and the runners wont help if you have a stock intake manifold under them. So I would say at most 5-10 horsepower.

 

I think that's even generous. Whatever minimal benefits he gets from the runners will be negated by the low rpm losses he gets with the 52mm throttle body. I've seen mild 350s loose a tenth or 2 in the 1/4 with too big of a throttle body, and I would expect similar results with a 52 on a 305.

have him do a cam swap and spring upgrade. That will make that 305 roar to life.

well, it sounds fast. Did you ever get time slips with that setup, or did you just race a friend who raced a friend who raced a friend that ran 13s?

This is the best run I got. At the end of the night, I was next in line and the car in front of me broke and they called it a night.
Could have been my 13 second run.
