I have a problem with my Camaro 5.0 TBI... the SES light is on and it reads code 43 - Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit . What could be the problem The ignition module is ok, the knock sensor as well. The engine seems to be running ok. Does anybody have any suggestions on what it could be ?
thx for any info !

Re: evil gremlin?

Is that the only code? I think thats the one you always get when the engine is not running (because the distbuter is not turning).

that's the only code.. the engine runs fine. i suppose it's some kind of wiring issue, i recently swapped my V6 to V8 , and the wiring harness which i used was in a mess. but maybe u guys have some suggestions... tomorrow i'm gonna check the wires from the ignition module and knock sensor, make sure they are ok throught to the ECM. The Haynes repair manual has crappy electrical schematics and i don't have the Chilltons book :/

had the same problem with my car...change out your knock sensor and it should go away. If you read in your hans manuel or w/e, it says if they ecm stops recieving a signal from the knock sensor, itll throw the code.
