eradic idle and missing through out gears

i have a 87 IROC that when i start it it lopes like it has a cam in it but it doesn't after reving it up it finally idles just fine. When the car is cold it drives just fine as soon as it warms up it starts to miss and back fire when you apply a little pressure to the pedal it starts to kick and buck slam the gas and the car takes off. i just replaced the fuel pump yesterday and the problem is honestly a little worse i dont know if the timing or the advance is not going well or what any advice welcome

Fuel injected, right?

Sounds like it could be a fueling problem while in closed loop, or a failing throttle position sensor.

check for vacuum and exhaust leaks, assure your o2 sensors are good

since you changed the fuel pump, would be logical to check the fuel pressure.

bout sounds like a sensor issue giving a bad signal.

first would be O2s
