I just joined the forum. I was wondering if someone would be able tell me where on the engine block I can find the partial vin stamping. Please also include a pic on the location. The car is a '91 Z28.

There is no VIN stamp on your engine.

 

As Marc pointed out, the VIN is not on the engine, it is only on the body and frame.
The engine has a casting number, though, that you can find on the block edge behind the driver side head. That might help you determine what engine it is.

there is a vin on the trans, atleast the last 6 digits. Drew over on TGO posted about it so i went to find out for sure and there it was on the pass side of the case etched in.
