Engine idles high after IAC adjustment
well, I followed the tech article on thirdgen.org to the teeth, but to my dismay, the car idles high, and seems to not want to kick down when coming to a stop. it will eventally idle at around 750, which seems a little high for such a stock car. what do you guys think? At least I would think so. Also the kick down issue. what could be causing this?
it seems the car will idles at a stop at 700 in both drive and park. if the car is drive, and placed in park, the idle will rise to 1K and then settle right at 700. what gives, shouldn't there be a difference in the idle, one higher and one lower? Any help would be appreciated

Use a scantool to check what the programmed idle is. Mine is set at 850. I would check with the scantool as to what the IAC counts are. Typically you want them set around 20-30 counts then set the TPS to the correct voltage which I believe in your case is 0.54V. Can I assume you have eliminated vacuum leaks?
If you get the car warmed up and can tell me your IAC counts, maybe I could help.
