Electrical Problem...Bad FP?!?
Would a bad fuel pump cause a voltage drain in the electrical system? I'm testing 12V at the battery and 12V at the alternator with the car running...it should be about 14V while in park. The alternator is a year old or less and just to rule out the battery, I swapped in a known good battery from the Sunfire, and the battery seems to be fine. I'm at a loss here right now. The car is hard to start after sitting for a while so this is why I'm wondering about the FP. Once started the car appear to work fine, idle is smooth.

If the fp was sucking down enough current to draw down the system, it would pop a fuse. The only reliability problem I've had with my 89 Formula is the alternator. I'm on #4 in 5 years. I've learned to keep an eagle eye on the voltmeter. Luckily I got a lifetime warranty on it.
12v at the alternator is no good; pull it and have it tested.

Angel71RS: The funny thing is I usually keep an eye on all my gauges. It just seemed to happen all of a sudden. Since it's not the battery, then I will have to get the alternator tested for sure. It still doesn't explain the hard start though.
cap84Z28: The starter is good and crank over no problem. I checked the ground and it seems to be a nice tight and clean connection.
