EGR Intake, what are the holes on the head side for?
I think I might of traced my oil burning problem to my factory aluminum intake (4bbl). I have heard that the EGR causes the intake to wrap and pull away from the head. This would cause oil to be sucked from the lifter valley. I have yet to pull the intake to check, is there anyway to tell if that is my problem? Oilly plugs on 6 and 8?
Anyway, what are the two holes for underneath the EGR on the head side. I wondered that when I was putting the motor together. The holes appear to just run into the gasket on the head surface. What are they for? Thanks guys.
