ever since i pluged my stage 2 chip into my 87 iroc my idle has been all ****ed up and ive been getting a code 24, defective ECM or VSS. when i start it up it idles fine, but then it drops down and hunts. when the cars is not in motion the code will come on, but then when im in motion it goes away and youre suppose to disregard it when it does that. this chip did it to my other 87 as well, but eventually went away, i think. is my chip defective/wrong or is my ECM/VSS ****ed up?

 

Had a similar problem with my white '91 when I got it.
It would not idle, speedo didn't work, computer controlled fan ran constantly, ses light always on, and could not pull codes.
Pulled the computer and found a ads chip.
Pulled the chip and all is normal.

 

i pulled the chip out but it still has the idle problem.when i pulled the chip out of my other camaro the problem stopped......what do you mean you pulled the computer and found a ads chip?
